GOOD MORNING PEOPLE!!! A KICK START TO A BRAND NEW DAY!! It’s 8.43AM. I’m wide awake. At least I think I am. Haha. Don’t know if people will actually read this blog of mine this early… BUT I know I have my lovely faithful readers who would read my humble entry. *ehem. Haha! Pardon me. I know it’s been a long while I’ve actually written something like this. I’m feeling cheerful today! So yeah. =) ![]() Anyways.. I came to realise that breakfast benefits our mind and body. However, I’m still not convinced with the ‘important’ part though... although… it is stated right smack on top of this entry. Haha. I know. Contradicting. Maybe… the reason behind that would be…because I’ve been skipping my breakfast my entire life. Haha. Ok that’s an exaggeration. But I would like to share some interesting facts that I came across for those who are interested to know of course… Are you one of those who skip your breakfast? Perhaps you are on a busy schedule that you tend to skip it. Actually breakfast has always been regarded as the most important meal of the day. Breakfast is so important, that it is a foundation for long health benefits. Do you know that when you don't skip them, you have 35-50% lower rate of insulin resistance compare to those who skip the meal.It is good news as insulin resistance triggers diabetes and heart diseases. A study also showed that those who skipped breakfast are more likely to be overweight than those who didn't skip it. Sometimes when you skip breakfast, you tend to get hungrier and ended up eating more than usual for lunch. Perhaps that causes the gain of weight. So if you are a busy person, have some packet of biscuits or bread handy to start a healthy day. Not only does it give you energy to start a new day, but breakfast is linked to many health benefits, including weight control and improved performance, maintain better concentration, physical stamina, maintain health and optimise growth. . Most of us may not realise that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Indeed, nutritionists consider that breakfast is necessary for everyone, especially children & adolescents.
